Siemens & Mount Evo for Engineering.com

In a recent interview with Engineering.com, Mount Evo’s founders, Matthew and William Hartley-James, shared how their frustration with traditional roof bars sparked the creation of modular, vacuum-mounted racks. The interview highlighted our partnership with Siemens Solid Edge, which has been critical to our product development. With Siemens’ Solid Edge CAD software, we’ve been able to design, test, and perfect our products while reducing waste and enhancing efficiency.

Solid Edge enables us to model our vacuum mounts virtually, ensuring compatibility across various car types before manufacturing. The partnership has also allowed us to simulate load-bearing capacities and minimise production waste, helping shape Mount Evo’s future.

Our modular approach not only solves common problems for outdoor enthusiasts but also reduces the need for constant upgrades as vehicles change. Solid Edge’s advanced features, like its built-in rendering tool KeyShot, allow us to create high-quality product visuals for customers, fostering trust and transparency.

This collaboration has helped us scale up efficiently, with new innovations on the horizon, such as snow mounts, and exciting partnerships with brand ambassadors like cyclists Richard Eniffer and Monica Dew. As we continue to grow, the role of Siemens’ technology will remain critical in bringing our cutting-edge designs to life.
