What to Do If a Vacuum Cup Fails to Seal on Your Rack

Occasionally, a vacuum cup may fail to seal properly. This is typically caused by surface contamination, misalignment, or air trapped under the rubber lip. To address the issue, start by carefully removing the cup and inspecting both the vehicle surface and the cup itself. Clean the area thoroughly with a dry cloth to remove dust, dirt, or moisture, and ensure the cup’s rubber lip is free from debris.

Reposition the cup on a smooth, flat section of the surface, press firmly, and engage the vacuum. Check the yellow safety indicator, it should disappear completely when the cup is fully sealed. If the cup still does not seal, try adjusting its position or angle slightly, as even minor misalignment can prevent a full vacuum.

Persistent issues in certain areas may be due to the surface being too uneven, curved, or otherwise unsuitable for the cup to function correctly. If the problem continues despite these steps, you can contact Mount Evo support via email, and our team will be happy to provide guidance. Following this process ensures each cup is properly engaged, maintaining the full strength and reliability that Mount Evo racks are engineered to deliver.
